Washington College
The Washington College website had too many pages. Whenever the site was moved to a new content management system, all pages were moved along with it. When I arrived in 2021 to oversee the site, it held a massive 30,000 web pages. Over four years the site was slimmed down to 4,000 pages and the accessibility improved from a C- to an A.
Bowie State University
Until 2017, the Bowie State University website was managed on a boutique CMS, that was beautiful to look at but failed accessibility tests. The navigation and structure did not serve prospective students well.
The website needed to move to a mobile-first frame work, meet accessibility standards, and be restructured to focus on the needs of prospective students. After research, I helped the university select new platform. Modern Campus is content management system created specifically for higher education and known for its accessibility features. We partnered with the iFactory and Modern Campus on a two-year journey to re-imagine the university's site for our target audience and achieve accessibility.
